Sébastien

Sébastien de Courtois was a French writer born April 18, 1974 in Montpellier.

A lawyer by training, he worked in a law firm and as parliamentary assistant to the Senate. After a DEA on minorities of the Ottoman Empire Syriac (Tur Abdin, Mardin, and Jezireh Mydiat), since 2001 he has devoted its work to the study of Eastern Christianity [ref. needed].

Journalist and historian [ref. needed] minorities and Christians of the East, he became a correspondent for reform in Turkey where he worked on several magazines release: Figaro Magazine, Geo and Grands Reportages. He leads the restoration project of a large Byzantine mosaic located in a monastery in eastern Turkey [Where?].

Since 2007 he is a member of the Society of French explorers.
